Hiking Park City Area

deer valley

Ride the Sterling lift at Deer Valley and hike down the Silver Lake or Ontario trails for beautiful views of the Jordanelle Reservoir (all down hill). Your hike will end near some great lunch options that you can walk to.  Royal Street Cafe is a shaded outdoor casual cafe. Royal Street Express is a quick grab and go spot. Or take a short walk up to the Stein Eriksen Lodge for lunch on the deck.

Guardsman's Pass

Drive up Guardsman’s Pass and park for a scenic overlook and an easy walk to the famous “Church of Dirt” (sneakers are fine for this). If you have hiking shoes, continue on the shady hike on Corvair. Bonus prize for anyone who spots the lost car wreck. This is an out and back trail that is gently sloping down on the out, and gently sloping up on the return.

Bloods Lake

Great hike, beautiful lake, trail can be busy on weekends after noon. This has up and down terrain.

Bonanza Flats

A more level trail though Aspen groves.

lake mary trail

Access through Brighton Parking Lot. Good hike mostly uphill - lots of places to stop for shade and a stunning view of the Lake at the end!

You can pick up a Deer Valley summer hiking trail map at any lift ticket office. We also suggest you download the All Trails App.

Anything designated as a hike, you will want to wear hiking shoes and take water.
